The Department of Conservation (DOC) has contacted us to share some exciting full-time, permanent job opportunities based right in the heart of Tongariro National Park. These are fantastic roles for anyone passionate about conservation, people, and our whenua.
The roles available are:
Principal Ranger – Community and Treaty
Leads the community engagement, Treaty/iwi team, and the Visitor Centre. Looking for someone with strong leadership, experience in iwi and community engagement, and knowledge of te ao Māori.Operations Advisor
Supports the wider team by ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. A great role if you’re highly organised, strategic, and enjoy being at the centre of the action.Ranger Project Lead – Visitor Centre
Leads the Visitor Centre team at Whakapapa Village and manages how we welcome and support visitors. Experience in retail or customer service would be an advantage, with lots of energy needed to create outstanding visitor experiences.
